JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Support functions to create the project plan, milestone and schedule according to project prioritizations
• Support development of standard metrics templates and application tools for use by Project Managers and Team Leaders.
• Collect, collate and analyze metrics across all projects.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of training methods to support consistent performance of Integrated Project Teams, Regional Working Groups, Team Leaders, and Project Managers under the direction of the Global Project Management Administration Head.
• Provide administrative support to GEMRAD, Team Leader Selection Committee, senior management meetings, and Regional Working Group meetings by preparing agendas and managing meeting summaries/minutes.
• Provide co-development alliance partner management and due diligent review support in collaboration with Project Manager and Team Leader Heads.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of IT solutions for project management and product development related activities.
Responsibilities:
* Develop/maintain project critical paths; integrate function plans; identify and resolve interdependencies.
* Provide project analysis by appropriate use of metrics and information and provide feedback to project managers and project leaders.
* Coordinate project management initiatives, i.e., template development, processes optimization, IT solution identification, etc.
* Maintenance and harmonization across projects of templates and standards for IPT related documents.
* Coordinate with other departments (e.g. financial management) that provide data for project analysis and ensure project team's attention to operational metrics.
* Provide project timeline management for assigned projects and provide feedback to project managers and project leaders by proactively tracking and monitoring status of key tasks for each project.
* Enable Value Analysis (NPV) calculations by coordinating with Value Analysis; ensuring that data for commercial analysis is provided in a timely and well-executed manner and that data from Value Analysis is used appropriately in assigned projects.
* Provides project based high level budget planning and ensures budget alignment with development plan and serve as primary contact with “Resource Planning” to request resources for all projects.
* Provide Alliance partner management support and due diligence support by supporting: development and execution of joint development plan with licensees and licensors; management of relationship with alliance partners; review of Letters of Intent & License Agreements.
* Provide administrative support for senior management meetings by preparing agendas, summarizing key outcomes, and communicating actions and timelines where appropriate.
* Support the development of consistent GEMRAD templates and meetings and follows up on Action Items decided by GEMRAD.
* In collaboration of GPM&L staff and leadership develop and provide appropriate training to members of Integrated Project Teams, Regional Working Groups and team leaders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* BA degree is required and advanced degree (e.g., MS or MBA) is a plus.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 2 years of research and development project management experience, and an understanding of pharmaceutical new product planning, commercialization and marketing.
* Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects through the various stages of development and registration. This includes coordinating creation and tracking of integrated drug development plans and timeline, project team meeting minutes, and project schedules.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and computer skills. Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Project Management software applications.
* International Experience and Japanese language a plus
